Creamy Buldak Noodles

Buldak noodles are insanely spicy on their own, but adding cream and mozzarella right in the pan creates this orange sauce that tames the heat without killing it. The whole thing cooks in one skillet in under 10 minutes - you don't even need a separate pot for the noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Samyang Buldak Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen black package
  • 1.5 cups boiling water
  • 5 tablespoons grated low-moisture mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • Optional toppings: soft-boiled egg toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Heat oil in skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until golden.
  • Add noodles to pan and pour boiling water over them.
  • Simmer on high 3-4 minutes, breaking noodles apart as they soften, until most water evaporates.
  • Reduce heat to low, add sauce packet, mozzarella, and heavy cream. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is creamy.
  • Turn off heat, stir in scallions and serve immediately.

Notes

Start with half the sauce packet if sensitive to spice. Garnish with soft-boiled egg and sesame seeds if desired.
